I wish to draw some Musketeer-like games. Is there a way to draw a board like for Musketeer chess, i.e. with back rows colourless?
Good idea. I made the updates.

you can select 10 rows to get the 2 missing ones : https://musketeerchess.net/tools/boardpainter/?r=10

and then you go to "Show board setup panel", there is a new Layout options box, choose "Musketeer"

Hi
Excellent work Jerome.
The current problem is the following, when chosing the Musketeer board, the square colours are inverted.
How to fix this?

Also, i would like to have the option of having for example 2,3 or more "reserve" rows where the Musketeer Pieces can be kept on hold.

You should add the following functions: invert the board colour squares, add the number of Musketeer Rows. For example, in a 10x8 Musketeer Chess Classic Board, the Number of Musketeer Rows is 1 (for each army). If we rise it to 2, the Board will be a 12x8 Board.

Thanks
Zied

Excellent. This tool is great. I would prefer a neutral color for both sides extra spaces in the Musketeer option, to better visualise they are off-board. This is a detail.

ok, so I changed the control, removed the selection list and added a "Reserved rows" field.
Now you can choose the number of reserved rows you want.

Here I chose 2, with a 12 rows board : https://musketeerchess.net/tools/boardpainter/?r=12

I made these areas grey, is it ok?

You can always invert colors when needed.

Hi

I think that the grey colour is good for the Musketeer Rows. These rows are a zone where the pieces wait before being gated.

Not urgent but consider adding color change for the Musketeer Rows that are currently in Grey.

Keep it possible for customised colour independently for each side.

Thanks
