Win-Draw rates when playing with various modified Pawns: The Berolina-Plus Pawns

Thanks to @sam @brainking and @raphaeleliekakou the NextGen Project is progressing. We are actually testing and computing different engine matches. These matches are entertaining and somewhat bring surprises when the results are analysed.

Here we will discuss the Berolina-Plus Pawns results. For reminder, Berolina-Plus Pawns are Berolina Pawns with additional sideways capture moves.

The preliminary results of our tests are as follows:

2400 games in total.
When evaluating the relative strength of the Berolina-Plus Pawns, we found that these extended pawns are logically much stronger than Classic Chess Pawns . They are also more difficult to be attacked than the Berolina Pawns, thanks to the sideways capturing capabilities.

These pawns can only be blocked when obstructing both diagonals.

Findings after engine tests are epic:
1) The draw percentage rised a little bit to 26%.

2) The game remains decisive in 3/4th of the times with almost equal winning chances (White 38% vs Black 36%).

A very interesting Discovery !!
