Re: Board Painter update
No problem. Board Painter is a great tool for email play.

Re: Board Painter update
Is there any way to suppress the Algebraic Notation letters/numbers on the board margins? My friend and I play by email and he is more comfortable with English Descriptive Notation, so the AN characters are redundant to us.

Re: Musketeer Chess Tournament
Thanks for the Winboard GUI suggestion. I'll take a look at it. My friend doesn't know algebraic notation and resigned from our first game because of several misstated moves. English descriptive notation is working with him so far. I'll convert our second game to PGN and post it. There are mistaken ...

Re: Musketeer Chess Tournament
So this is a computer assisted tournament? It doesn't sound like anything that I would be interested in. PBEM is Play by Email, as opposed to PBM (Play by Mail). "X" move Icon Colour
I see that you can change the color of the one movement arrow, but I would like to change the color of the "X" move icon. I rotate it to become a "+" and place it over a king when it is in check. The white with black outline default color is difficult to notice over a white king....

Re: Musketeer Chess Tournament
I am a beginner player, and I would be interested in being cannon fodder, but I don't understand the stockfish-musketeer link or what the benefit is. Isn't chess notation enough, and each player can used Board Painter to supplement the notation? I have a friend who might be interested. We are curren...

Re: Counter-Picking
I think he means with 'the same piece' that black and white get the same piece, no matter who chooses it. Not that black chooses the same piece as white when his turn to choose comes up, so that each player has a pair of those. (Which I thought was not allowed by the rules anyway.) And I agree with...
