Re: Many new products

We are currently developing some 14 new pieces among them many figural pieces (Dragon Griffin Lion Lioness Dog Wolf Bear Rhinoceros Wildebeest Spider) I see they have arrived, only it's not 14 new pieces, it's 20! For U.S. purchasers see https://www.ebay.com/str/thechessshopofnorthcarolina Any onli...

My first real Musketeer Chess game

This post was originally an email I sent to Dr. Haddad several months ago. Our family decided to eat at an open air venue, and since the tables are large I brought a chess set and board. I also brought my 8 year old granddaughter's two favorite Musketeer pieces, the Leopard and Unicorn. As soon as w...

Re: Eye Candy

Thanks jerome! I hadn't seen that new feature and I will familiarize myself with it. I'm not sure this game is going to be finished soon, as in a couple of days we are going to rearrange our family living situation in response to the winding down of Covid restrictions and the vaccinations. I'll keep...

Re: Eye Candy

My granddaughter and I started this game, but we left out the Omega Chess pieces (wrong size). We took an adjournment so she can take a breather and play some music on her recorder. The game was pretty intense. I did have to help her walk through a couple of exchanges. Due to the fact that she needs...

Re: Eye Candy

OK, so I did it! I revised the original Eye Candy board with 2 sets of Sparta pawns, please see below. I also added the Maharaja that I created from a Dragon body and a Spider head. It is next to the King, and so there are two royal (checkable) pieces. Finally, for symmetry I added a second Queen. F...

Eye Candy

Allow me to tell my Musketeer Chess story. I’ve been eyeing the Musketeer pieces since I first discovered them a few years ago. I’m the typical buyer for them: I love chess but haven’t had the time to memorize openings, or even to play many games. I own Gothic Chess and Omega Chess sets and have giv...

Next Gen Pawn axes

Why do the Next Gen Pawns have the option of 'battle axes' or 'four axes'? Is there a symbolic meaning to this feature?

Re: Omega Chess inventor

Thank you. The email contact apparently has been removed from the web site. I'm afraid the only sure way to contact Daniel Macdonald would be to get to Toronto (I could drive there in one day, but not with COVID-19 ongoing!) and drop into the Chess Pub there to see his friends. I have an Omega Chess...
