Re: The new pieces are available

I intend to put some pictures up of all the new pieces with a ruler, give me a couple of days. There is a bit of size disparity (but it's actually quite good, who wants a tiny Lion?).

Re: The new pieces are available

The Bear is a funny piece, I first thought it was a monkey/baboon at first, but I really like the claws! The increased size is a nice feature - the pieces are all solid and heavy, extremities really need care when transported. The Aquila is beautiful, like the Hawk only better, but I tend to think t...

Re: The new pieces are available

Just bought the complete set, but some pieces had broken. Nothing a little superglue couldn't fix though. The strange thing is it wasn't the ones I thought might break didn’t (i.e. mammoth's tusks) but the Bombard did! Both of my Gliders (axes on top) had snapped off. They are all fixed now these pa...

Re: Homemade Musketeer Chess Set

You did a great job Jerome. They tend to keep with the standard Chess symbols you see in books, you know, with the hollowed out eye and side perspective. I especially like your work with the Dragon (new one, actual dragon), the Rhino and the Zebra. Traditional in appearance, but new. The pieces pict...

Homemade Musketeer Chess Set

I love Musketeer Chess, and probably have too much time on my hands. The pieces are beautiful but it has been a very long time in waiting for additional new designs. With that in mind, and inspired by Zied and the Chinese version of Chess/Xiangqi (another game I am more fond of than I am good at), I...

Re: My first real Musketeer Chess game

That's great Tom, I've found a couple of friends who have really taken to the game as well. It has been a nice equaliser of outcomes and leads to far more unexpected turns of events (no pun intended). Less stereotyped moves, very sudden checkmates at times, even without the overpowered Amazon/Dragon...

Re: The birth of Musketeer Titans

Will the other titans such as the Dragon (figural), Lion and Griffin be ready soon? ;)

Board Painter update

Just wanted to say thanks to whoever updated the Board painter tool to include XiangQi and other chess boards - great job, really helpful and well implemented.

Re: Where to play Musketeer Chess online

Hi My idea behind NextGen Pawns was to make an alternate design available for Pawns (and that could be used to play chess variants). That's why i made them available in a classic chess set. Trust me, the additional Chess set is free (the price doesn't cover the cost of development of the pieces). S...

Re: Where to play Musketeer Chess online

Hi We will work on an app for sure, i think that Musketeer Chess will be on pychess server before that. so probably the mobile app will be the Pychess app. The new pieces will hopefully be ready for end 2020 or beginning 2021. The current crisis has postponed many projects. Hi Zied, That's great ne...
