Re: Cerebral (edema) Chess variant
After playing the cerebral variant starting with the regular pieces (edema) for a few weeks, I've concluded that it's not as balanced as the original cerebral variant. The minor pieces (N, B, R) disrupt the opening strategy. They are exchanged, sacrificed, or ideally exchanged for a variant piece (L...

Re: Cerebral (edema) Chess variant
Once you're comfortable playing cerebral chess, try cerebral (edema) chess by starting with all the regular chess pieces plus the Cannon and Unicorn on their usual squares. Put all the variant pieces behind their regular counterpart, but off the board: Rook-Fortress, Knight-Leopard, Bishop-Archbisho...

Re: Playing against the Computer
I've been using the 2D version because it's easier for me to see what's going on. Maybe the castling is only in the 3D version. I'll play a game right now and check. I'll clear the cache too. Yeaaah! The castling works in 2D too. I didn't delete the cache yesterday. Thank you! I better enjoy winning...

Cerebral (edema) Chess variant
Hello, My name is Keith Williams, and thanks to Dr. Zied Haddad, I'm able to share my new variant of chess. I'd like to explain how I developed it over the past couple of years. It started from Omega Chess created by Daniel Macdonald from Toronto, Canada, back in 1998. He enlarged the board to 10 x ...

Re: Future developments of Musketeer Chess
Zied, Thank you so much for all you've done to help me promote cerebral (edema) chess! I hope this variant becomes popular and encourages more players to get your Musketeer chessmen to create their own sets.
